I've always been fascinated by stories of strange and mysterious creatures, whether folklore or supposed actual encounters. There's something about the idea of strange and wondrous creatures that have escaped confirmation into the modern age that appeals to me greatly. "Real" or "not real" isn't important, it's the idea of it, and the fun of reading and watching the stories about them.

A few years ago I made a series of vector illustrations of some of my favorites, based on reported descriptions and other artistic interpretations. I decided to revisit those designs to improve them a bit, as well as adjust the colors so they would work as prints. I'm really happy with the results.
